Country and bluegrass artiste Dierks Bentley released his self-titled debut album in 2003.
Together with his second album “Modern Day Drifter, both are certified platinum in the United States.
In 2006, his third album,”Long Trip Alone” is certified gold.
Dierks Bentley’s first single “What Was I Thinking”, from his debut album reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.
That single was dubbed as one of the most original country songs of the decade.
At the age of 29, Bentley became the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry when he was inducted on October 1, 2005
That same year, Bentley won the CMA Award for the Horizon Award (now known as Best New Artist).
Among his many great songs are: “What Was I Thinking“, “Come a Little Closer”, ‘Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)’, “How Am I Doin'”, “Long Trip Alone”, “Every Mile a Memory” and “Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do“.
One of Dierks Bentley’s popular quotes, which I found on the Internet is : “Country music has always been the best shrink that 15 bucks can buy.”
