Victor Borge was a Danish and American comedian, conductor and pianist.
His actual is Børge Rosenbaum.
He as also know as: “The Clown Prince of Denmark”, “The Unmelancholy Dane”, and “The Great Dane”.
This Danish pianist-humorist was very popular in radio and television in the United States and Europe back in the 40s.
In the 50s, Mr. Borge made Broadway history when his show, “Comedy in Music” ran for 849 performances at the Golden Theater.
In 1953, Borge grossed over $200,000 from one-man shows performed all over the country.
91 year-old Victor Borge died on December 23, 2000 at his home in Greenwich, Connecticut.

But actually there is NO such quotation by this Danish entertainer.
The only rather similar quote is: “The smile is the shortest distance between two persons”.
